KHE geisha Freecoaster Hub

So this hub came out about a year and a half ago right when the freecoaster craze really started to blow up, and I honestly believe it might of grew faster because of this hub. I heard the buzz about it so i grabbed one to replace my odyssey reloader which seen it's day. Straight away i sprayed it black, because the ugly copper colour that would never match anything had to go. Seriously why pick that colour? So chris built it up for me and man did it spin smooth. About a week later I got sick of the little to no slack and had to change it. So i took it apart and was happy to realize how easy the internals came apart and were designed. Thats the only time i've ever had to think about taking this hub apart. Compared to the old nankais, odysseys, povertys, etc which involved maintainence, probably stuff i should have done to this hub but never did. Sure it had the problem with blowing up the driver bearings on some of them, but it's to be expected with bearings that small, and it's nothing compared to the reverse. The axle studs did bend, but never to a point where i needed to go out and buy new ones. I grind a moderate amount so i was impressed, the flanges held up real well too. All in all, I highly suggest this hub (of course there's a new generation of better coming out), but for the weight difference, you'll get way more life out of this hub than a Reverse or Federal freecoaster.

Shook Like Totally

I was really stoked to see this video, one because Charlie Crumlish has a section and two because Garrett Reynolds is way to dialed at everything he does. A few of the guys I've never really heard of, but thats the good thing about Shook. It lets those riders get out there. Every section is good, seems like every Shook just gets better and better.

Dave Thompson has the first section, smooth rider that does some pretty sick lines. Rides it all dirt, street and park. Does a really good double peg grind to hop over bar , that stuck out in my mind the most probably.

Charlie Crumlish has the next. Everything he does is original, double peg down a rail to one handed 180 with the roll out, half cab to rail. It might not match up to the BMXFU section but it is really good.

Shawn Walters is sick. Does alot of handrails, but doesn't reuse tricks on them. Probably can smith anything. Does a double peg down a rail into a snowman, haha thought that was good.

Opening clip of the first montage section is funny. Big icepick grind down a rail then smashes into a parked car, then just takes off. A bunch of good clips in this section.

Troy Merkle has hang 5s on lock. Fakie downside whip on a wedge, I hate how some reviews post every sick trick so I'll leave it at that. Definitely worth watching his section.

Mindset Trip, I'm not to sure what it is. That one kid that was on The Come Up a little while back doing that long nose wheelie is in this section. Hes got nose wheelies too good. Some guy does probably the longest x-up grind I've ever seen. This other guy does a trick on a curved wall I don't think I've seen before.

Dan Romeo has a good section. Has a pretty sick banger. There are two really smooth double bar to disasters.

Sputnic Trip was decent. Handplant one 180 over this bank to sub thing was smooth, the same guy also does a fakie smith stall one a wall to 360. Manual to long round rail ride also stood out in this, not to sure on the name of the rider though.

Montage 2 kinda started right after the Sputnic trip, I thought it was apart of it because the opening clip was on Tony Neyer. Pretty stoked to see Cameron Wood have a bunch of clips because hes a good rider. A guy does a ice to tooth pick stall on a big bank to fence. A lot of ramp riding near the end of the section.

Andrew Hossleton does an uprail to gap uprail that was pretty good. The music in this video is a little different haha, but everything goes together well.

Greg Tylosky has backward manuals with or without a freecoaster so good. His end trick is probably something you've never seen before.

Garrett Reynold's section was even better then I thought it was gonna be. The filming in it seemed different. The guy just doesn't stop, you think hes finished the line but then keeps going. There could have been easily 10 bangers that were in it but his section just keeps goin on. It is so good, this one alone is worth the buy of the video. Has truckdrivers too good, and can just throw them in wherever he wants in a line. Must have the strongest wrists and ankles ever.

All in all its definitely a good one to get.

Khe Foldable Street Tires

Alright ever since these tires came out a year or so ago, there has been mixed reviews. Half the people swear by them, others want nothing to do with them. When these first came out, I grabbed one for my front wheel. It was still summer so I rode mostly street on it. It felt good, Had lots of grip, Looked good on my bike, SUPER light, it was a great tire. But then i got a puncture from a stone i shouldn't have gotten a flat from. Then flats just kept happening until i got sick of it and removed the tire. Then in the fall I wanted to lighten up my bike more, so i bought another and rode my old one. Its cold out so indoor park season was upon us, so i figured they would hold up well. As far as puncture/pinch flats, yes they hold up well. But after sanding the logo off of the sidewall, the tube bulged out at that exact spot. Dissapointing really. So what im saying is that these tires are for certain types of riders, They are for ones that ride street and dont mind having a spare tire/ patches on them at all times in order to save some weight. Or for park oriented riders. They are simply not well built enough for hard street riding/ grinding alot. And with that im going to go try and get my 60! dollars worth out of the front one thats left on my bike. 5 star rating for weight concious/park riders. 3 star rating for street/harder riders.

Sunday Bikes Second wave frame

The new sunday second wave frames are Da Bomb for sure, ive been riding mine since oct. and it theres nothing wrong. Its built tough, super light, has everything you need in a frame. By far the #1 frame out right now...and im not just saying that. They should be out around march i think. -Perfect 10 rating in my books.
